PJ Care has been rated as the "Best Care Home to Work for in the UK" in the annual ‘Best Companies’ awards, which have also ranked us in the top five best health and social care providers to work for. Our care homes provide specialist neurological care and neuro rehabilitation for people with progressive or acquired neurological conditions.
PJ Care is planning to open two new specialist neurological care homes, provisionally scheduled for June (subject to confirmation). One service will be located in North London. As part of this development, we are establishing a full multidisciplinary therapy team (MDT) for each service. Initially, staff will be appointed to a single location only, and there will be no requirement to work across both sites. However, as PJ Care continues to expand its services, there may be an expectation in the future for staff to support nearby or closely located services, should additional homes open in proximity to their base location.
We are looking for a full-time or part-time experienced physiotherapist with a special interest in neurology. A variety of contracted hours is available, up to full-time (37.5 hours per week), and who has previous experience of rehabilitation and tracheostomy care to join our dynamic team in our North London site (N11 1EQ). You will assist with completing rehabilitation and maintenance programmes for residents with varied neurological and progressive conditions, and you will also be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. You will also be involved in the supervision of support staff (Therapy Technician, Assistant) and students.
PJ Care are committed to supporting staff to complete continuing professional development and have excellent training opportunities. The right candidate will reflect the PJ Care values of care, compassion, and commitment. As an award-winning, independent provider of neurological care, PJ Care only look to recruit individuals who share in our mission to deliver the highest standards of care. Salary will be calculated depending on experience. All roles are on-site and in person; remote or hybrid working is not available.
We are specifically looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working in neurological settings (e.g. neurorehabilitation, ABI, complex neurological conditions)
- Are able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team within a specialist neurological service
Salaries will be dependent on experience, in line with role and seniority. Please also note that we are currently unable to offer sponsorship, and therefore candidates must already have the right to work in the UK.
Enhanced pay options include:
- 25 days holiday
- Travel expenses reimbursed at 45p per mile for business journeys from your designated home site
- Fully funded enhanced DBS
- Long-service awards and recognition
- Career development opportunities with salary increments
All staff employed by PJ Care are individually responsible and expected to safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of all individuals who access PJ Care services to ensure everyone is protected from actual or potential harm.
