Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Cambridge. The Occupational Therapist will assess residents’ functional abilities, develop person-centered treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to support independence, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include conducting standardized assessments, facilitating rehabilitation programs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues such as nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, and medical practitioners. The role involves engaging with residents and their families to set realistic goals, provide education, and review progress regularly. The Occupational Therapist will also maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to care planning and discharge processes, and participate in service development and audits.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, goal setting, and delivery of evidence-based interventions.
  • Understanding of Medicine and neurological conditions relevant to complex care and neuro rehabilitation settings.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage residents and families.
  • Experience in Neurological Care is beneficial where applicable to service needs.
  • Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., HCPC or equivalent).
  • Experience in neurological, complex care, or rehabilitation settings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Commitment to person-centered care, continuous professional development, and adherence to safeguarding and health and safety standards.
