The Role
As a People Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor to our Territory Managers and a key driver of the People agenda across your Territory cohorts. You’ll build strong, credible partnerships across the business, ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery of all people initiatives. Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll support organisational effectiveness, drive cultural change, enable business transformation, and help create a high‑performing, engaged workforce. This is a hands‑on, influential role requiring strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent operational execution.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a strategic advisor and coach to Territory Managers on all people‑related matters
- Partner closely with the Senior Operations Director, contributing to effective people management and delivery of business priorities
- Lead and deliver the People Strategy across your territory, ensuring alignment with operational and commercial objectives
- Provide data‑led people insights, reporting on key initiatives, compliance, and business‑critical projects
- Use people metrics to influence decision‑making and track performance against key KPIs (retention, absence, engagement, capability)
- Own Territory cohort Family Tree and Blueprint governance, informing succession planning, development, and recruitment needs
- Champion employee engagement, analysing survey results and supporting action planning and feedback loops
- Partner with Centres of Excellence (Recruitment, L&D, HR Ops, ER) to deliver joined‑up, effective people solutions
- Lead complex employee relations cases in partnership with Operators, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
- Conduct exit interviews for General Managers and Deputy General Managers to provide meaningful insight and inform retention strategies
- Attend Operational Steering Groups, Territory Meetings and DGM meetings, and lead Quarterly People Days
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in a Regional People Business Partner role
- Proven ability to influence, challenge and coach senior stakeholders
- Excellent coaching, facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong personal effectiveness, integrity and credibility
- A proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment
- Sound judgement with the ability to identify issues, create solutions and make confident decisions
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of operational businesses
- Resilience and confidence in managing change and ambiguity
- Full UK driving licence
