AI and Automation Manager

Now we're looking for an AI & Automation Manager to lead one of our most exciting journeys yet.

This isn't just another technology role. You'll be the person helping PizzaExpress unlock the power of AI across our business, from restaurants and support teams to customer experience and operational excellence. You'll turn bold ideas into practical solutions that make a real difference.

What you'll be doing

You'll be at the heart of our AI strategy, helping us identify, prioritise and deliver opportunities that create measurable value.

You'll:

• Lead our AI and Automation transformation and become a key voice in shaping our AI future
• Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities where AI can genuinely improve the way we work
• Turn innovative ideas into real-world solutions that deliver measurable results
• Drive adoption of Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and other approved AI tools
• Build communities of AI champions and super users across the business
• Help colleagues feel confident, capable and excited about AI
• Establish governance and responsible AI practices that protect our customers, teams and brand
• Track ROI, benefits and business impact to ensure we're investing in what works
• Challenge weak ideas, stop wasted effort and focus energy where it matters most

What we're looking for

We're not looking for someone who simply knows AI. We're looking for someone who knows how to make AI work for people.

You'll have:

• Experience leading AI, automation, digital transformation or innovation programmes
• Proven experience in an AI role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot and the Power Platform
• Experience managing a portfolio of initiatives from idea through to delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• The ability to translate complex technology into simple, practical solutions
• Strong commercial thinking with an eye on both value creation and cost control
• Confidence working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• A passion for helping people embrace new ways of working

Bonus points if you've worked in hospitality, retail or another fast-paced operational environment.
