With over 200 franchisees operating across Pizza Hut’s International Operating Markets (IOM)—UKI, Canada, France, and Germany—this role addresses increasing financial risk, including aging debt exposure and fragile unit economics. The Franchise Finance Manager will lead proactive debt management and financial health monitoring to protect business continuity and support strategic transformation initiatives. This role will provide cross-market leadership on franchise finance strategy and compliance, supporting the Head of FP&A and Strategy, the CFO of IOM, and engaging closely with Global stakeholders across Yum! and Pizza Hut.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the US Accounts Receivable (AR) Hub and IOM markets to secure timely and accurate statements of accounts and aged debt reports.
  • Develop and execute recovery strategies to reduce bad debt and aging exposure across the franchise base.
  • Proactively escalate and communicate high-risk accounts to IOM leadership, Pizza Hut Global, and Yum! Franchising Office.

Franchise Financial Health Strategy (30%)

  • Design and implement plans to improve franchisee financial performance and long-term profitability.
  • Lead structured business reviews with large or strategic franchisees, analysing audited financials and forecasts (e.g. EBITDA, cash flow).
  • Establish a process to flag at-risk partners and provide financial recommendations or intervention strategies.

Franchising Policy Compliance & Reporting (20%)

  • Ensure full franchisee compliance with Yum!’s Franchisee Financial Health policy including: iLumen P&L submissions, health scorecards, financial statements, and leverage KPIs.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from Yum! Brands and Pizza Hut Global functions.

Franchise Transformation & M&A Support (10%)

  • Oversee financial due diligence for franchisee recruitment, ownership transitions, and M&A acceleration efforts.
  • Ensure robust partner assessments and financial viability checks to reduce insolvency risk and support exit of underperforming partners with legacy obligations.

Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, including cash flow, leverage, and profitability trends, and translate findings into strategic actions.
  • Experience in franchise or multi-unit business models, ideally within food & beverage, retail, or hospitality.
  • Direct experience in managing aged debt and financial risk, including developing and executing recovery strategies and engaging with underperforming partners to drive outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and cultures, challenge constructively, and coach franchisees toward improved financial health.
  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and familiarity with data and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Domo).
  • Track record in process design and project management, including the ability to build or improve financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes across markets.
  • Strong adaptability and a proactive mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Finance, with a preference for Franchise, Retail, or QSR sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or related fields.

This role is based out of our Restaurant Support Centre in Central London. A minimum of 2 days per week in the RSC is expected. Occasional travel to franchisee offices or international markets may be required.
