A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for a Nursery Room Leader at our Saltash nursery, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development. We are looking for a professional attitude, but with a sense of fun and excitement as this allows our children to thrive within our nursery family environment. Purpose of post
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery.
- To give support to other team members within the nursery and lead the room with your team.
- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.
Main duties
- Leading and supporting your team.
- Creating programmes and activities for the children.
- Keep records of children’s development and liaise with parents.
- Upholding safeguarding practices with your team.
- Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children’s needs.
- Supporting your team to develop their role with the help of your manager.
- Complete transfer documents and ensure they meet EYFS requirements.
