We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Manager for our Saltash nursery.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in leading a team, fostering a nurturing environment, and contributing to the holistic development of children.

Main Duties
- Working under the Manager's direction and deputising in their absence
- Supporting the nursery's aims and objectives and helping in high-quality establishment management
- Ensuring high standards of childcare and education, including monitoring and provision review
- Leading and supporting staff, promoting an enabling environment for children
- Promoting the nursery’s aims and maintaining high standards at all times
- Assisting in operational management, including staffing schedules and administrative tasks
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining high hygiene levels
- Supporting early identification and intervention for children with special needs
- Maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information
- Assisting in staff development and training
- Liaising with parents, staff, and external agencies as required
- Involvement in out-of-hours activities such as training, meetings, and events
- Carrying out room and peer observations
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and good communication skills
- Proficiency in using computers
- Adaptability and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications
- Must hold NVQ level 3 in childcare or above
