Our client is seeking a Senior Palantir Foundry Engineer (Ontology & Data Pipelines) to join a high-impact initiative focused on transforming complex operational data into actionable insights. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, designing and building scalable data models, pipelines, and applications within Palantir Foundry. You'll partner closely with stakeholders to translate real-world operational processes into structured data solutions that drive decision-making and performance across the organization. This is a hands-on, senior-level position ideal for someone who has deep experience with Palantir Foundry, strong data engineering skills, and a passion for solving complex, real-world problems in data-intensive environments. It is on a contractual basis, immediate project start date, and full-time hours Mon-Fri.
Experience
- Design and implement Palantir Foundry ontologies that represent real-world operational processes and assets.
- Build and maintain production-grade Foundry pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, and Foundry Code Repos.
- Convert business and operational requirements into reliable, decision-ready data models.
- Work closely with oil/gas domain SMEs and stakeholders to map industrial processes into Foundry objects and relationships.
- Develop and support ontology-backed applications and workflows (e.g., operational views, event-based analysis, performance tracking).
- Act as a hands-on technical lead: setting design standards, reviewing code, and guiding other developers.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, performance, and security in Foundry solutions.
- Expertise in key Palantir Applications including: Quiver, Contour, Workshop, Object Explorer, Pipeline Builder, Automate, AIP Logic and AIP Agent Studio.
- Expertise in the Palantir ecosystem: understanding role of Ontology, Datasets, code repositories and how permissions are managed in the platform.
- Knowledgeable in best practices for building and scaling applications developed in Palantir Foundry, including code repositories and branching.
- Useful: knowledge of the refining/downstream business.
Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
- Strong, hands-on Palantir Foundry experience (no "Palantir-like" or equivalent platforms).
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing ontologies in Foundry.
- Advanced skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL within Foundry.
- Experience delivering end-to-end Foundry solutions from design to production.
- Ability to work in complex, data-intensive environments.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with business users and technical teams.
