What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure solutions that support the company's gaming development and operational needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of all IT services.
- Collaborate with software development teams to provide infrastructure support for application deployment and testing.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and standards to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Implement security best practices to protect the infrastructure from external threats and vulnerabilities.
- Manage cloud services and on-premises servers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead infrastructure projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance the company's IT capabilities and improve overall efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity in the event of an incident.
- Conduct regular audits of the infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Engage with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
