What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure solutions that support the company's gaming development and operational needs.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of all IT services.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to provide infrastructure support for application deployment and testing.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and standards to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Implement security best practices to protect the infrastructure from external threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage cloud services and on-premises servers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance the company's IT capabilities and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity in the event of an incident.
  • Conduct regular audits of the infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Engage with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.

  • Experience in the gaming industry or familiarity with game development processes.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
