What you'll do

  • Design and implement robust content pipelines that facilitate the seamless integration of assets into our game development environment.
  • Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and programmers to understand their needs and translate them into efficient workflows.
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors in the content creation process.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the content pipeline to ensure optimal performance and address any issues that arise during production.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the pipeline processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Maintain documentation for all pipeline tools and processes, ensuring that team members have access to clear and comprehensive resources.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance our content pipeline and overall production capabilities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions, providing insights and suggestions based on your technical expertise.
  • Assist in training team members on new tools and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Work closely with the QA team to ensure that all content meets the highest standards of quality before it is integrated into the game.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to ensure that all content is delivered on time and meets the required specifications.
  • Provide support during the game launch phase, ensuring that all content is properly integrated and functioning as intended.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the gaming industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or similar, with a strong understanding of scripting for automation.
  • Experience with game engines, particularly Unity or Unreal Engine, and a solid understanding of asset management within these environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and experience in managing content across multiple platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud-based content management systems and workflows.
  • Knowledge of shader programming and graphics optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Previous experience in a lead or mentoring role, guiding junior team members in their professional development.

  • Familiarity with asset creation tools such as Blender, Maya, or similar, and an understanding of the artistic process in game development.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira or Trello to track progress and manage tasks effectively.
