About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Localization Project Manager to join our global team, leading the end-to-end coordination and management of localized feature and trailer content for major studios and content owners, ensuring delivery of the highest quality subtitled assets.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Localization project management and operations, coupled with an understanding of theatrical workflows and operations. In addition, they will be highly motivated, proactive, and able to work as part of a dynamic team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Planning and managing multiple high profile theatrical localization projects from client order to completion and delivery
- Overseeing all aspects of project management incl. receiving orders, establishing project schedules, setting up projects in Pixelogic’s proprietary localization platforms, organising translators, negotiating deadlines while balancing internal capacity with external demands
- Accountable for the quality and on time delivery of localized subtitle assets created
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication is maintained at all times
- Managing, monitoring, and updating project status as required to ensure production teams are kept updated with all changes and updates as they occur
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of subtitle localization processes and technologies to help provide strategic solutions to any issues that may arise
- Collaborating with operational teams to build processes that ensure end-to-end localization workflows operate smoothly and efficiently
- Providing regular budget, cost analysis and forecast data for future projects in addition to managing the billing and invoicing process for all completed projects in a timely manner
- Supporting the theatrical localization operation by contributing to continuous improvement and development of subtitle localization workflows and processes
- Maintaining department workflow and process documentation to ensure it is current and adheres to industry technical standards and best practice
- Identifying areas of opportunity to enhance clients’ experience and work closely with other department leaders to drive initiatives and to execute on those opportunities
- Abiding by security policies and protecting information assets entrusted to you
- Other related tasks as assigned to fulfil responsibilities
· The role requires extensive coordination amongst multiple stakeholders and sensitivity in dealing with time critical deadlines for both theatrical and digital platforms
· 3+ years’ experience in Localization Project Management
· Demonstrable experience in localization, media industry and post-production workflows
· Previous client facing experience essential
· Dubbing experience preferred but not essential
· Fluency in English language (spoken and written)
· Second language desirable but not essential
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
· Outstanding attention to detail and ability to plan complex projects with urgency
· Solid coordination and organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
· Collaborative thinker who works well in a team but is also self-motivated to work independently when required
· Passionate about customer experience and customer service excellence
· Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volumes
· Problem solver with creative and innovative approach and the ability to think outside the box
· A positive attitude when experiencing obstacles and enthusiastic to get things done
