We’re looking for an experienced Service Designer to lead the transformation of public-facing services in the UK. This role offers a unique opportunity to design impactful, user-centered services within the public sector, ensuring they meet Government Service Standards.

The Service is to protect the UK's national security by addressing international threats and conflicts as well as international peacekeeping efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic discoveries for new or redesigned services.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Product Managers, Policy Experts, and Operations Leads.
  • Produce essential design deliverables like Design Playbooks, Service Blueprints, and Problem Statements.
  • Ensure designs align with the Discovery > Alpha > Beta > Live framework and Government Digital Standards.
Key Requirements:
  • Public sector experience with citizen-facing services.
  • Proven use of the Government Service Standard.
  • Familiarity with the Discovery > Alpha > Beta > Live process.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
