We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing digital team working on the development of modern customer-facing financial products that have real impact. You’ll play a key role in shaping innovative frontend solutions, influencing best practice, and helping elevate engineering capability across the wider function.
This role would suit someone who is not only technically strong, but also enjoys collaborating across teams, mentoring others, and driving high standards in frontend delivery.
The opportunityAs a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will:
- Design and build engaging, scalable frontend applications
- Work as part of a focused product team delivering new digital solutions
- Contribute to the evolution of frontend architecture and engineering standards
- Support and mentor other team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice
- Collaborate in an Agile environment with stakeholders across multiple teams
- Help deliver high-quality software through strong DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Proven background in frontend engineering, with 5+ years of relevant experience with React
- Strong JavaScript expertise
- Excellent React.JS experience
- Solid HTML and CSS skills
- Experience with component-based architecture
- Good understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and version control
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Broader software engineering experience, including backend exposure
- Understanding of networking concepts such as subnets, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs
- Knowledge of security and identity management
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capability
- 12-month contract
- Inside IR35
- Senior rate: up to £608.86 per day (7.5 hours per day)
- Hybrid working: 4 days per week onsite in Essex
- Likely extension potential via year-end renewals
