The Role: Join Pixel Toys as a Build Engineer within our DevOps team, you take center stage at a critical moment in our studio’s growth, driving the rapid development and modernisation of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines that power our Unity mobile game, ensuring every build is efficient, fault-tolerant, and reliable. Working across both cloud and on-premises environments, you will collaborate with IT to ensure our systems are as scalable and secure as they are fast. You will move beyond simple maintenance, actively identifying bottlenecks and implementing clever automation that streamlines our workflows and enhances the entire development lifecycle. Become a vital bridge between our development, QA, and Release Teams, managing complex platform-specific configurations for iOS and Android while integrating automated testing directly into the pipeline. Your day-to-day will involve monitoring dashboards and troubleshooting build issues in real-time, providing the technical guidance and support necessary to keep our projects moving at pace. By documenting processes and staying ahead of industry trends, you will continuously propose and implement enhancements that sharpen our delivery. Ultimately, you will be the guardian of our deployment stability, communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure every milestone is met with a high-quality, performant build.
About you: You will join Pixel Toys as a motivated and skilled engineer with a deep understanding of the CI/CD principles that underpin successful game delivery. Whether you come from a background in mobile games or a related high-stakes industry, you will possess a solid grasp of Unity C# development workflows and the specific build requirements of iOS and Android platforms. Your technical toolkit is diverse, featuring proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and hands-on experience with build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Codebuild. You are equally comfortable navigating version control systems like Git and Perforce as you are managing platform-specific tools like Xcode and Gradle.
