We have developed multiple award‑winning titles and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously! As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

The Role

Join us as a Senior Unity Programmer at Pixel Toys, and join our dynamic team at a high‑stakes stage of development, tasked with pushing the visual and technical boundaries of the latest mobile and tablet hardware. In this senior position, you will work on a AAA mobile product, developing the key systems and technologies that define a world‑class user experience. You will collaborate closely with discipline leads to set rigorous standards and drive our technology forward, enjoying a flexible environment where your architectural ideas directly shape our gameplay and UI systems.

From the outset, you will take a leadership role in owning our localisation technologies, establishing the best practices that ensure our games resonate perfectly with a global audience. Your influence will extend across the entire project as you take ownership of complex feature planning and system development. You will spend your time implementing and optimising game systems alongside Artists and Designers, while also diving deep into profiling and performance tuning to resolve critical bottlenecks. By creating thorough technical designs and conducting insightful code reviews, you will ensure our codebase remains stable, secure, and robust. Beyond your own tasks, you will serve as a mentor to junior developers and a technical expert for the wider team, accurately estimating sprint goals and proactively mitigating risks to keep our high‑profile projects on track.

About you

You are a seasoned engineering expert, with at least one fully shipped title. Your mastery of Unity and C# is complemented by a deep understanding of architectural patterns and modern coding methodologies, allowing you to design systems that are as elegant as they are performant. You are a creative problem solver who thrives in Agile environments, possessing the troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex compatibility issues before they impact the player experience. Your technical toolkit is ever‑expanding, and you have a genuine interest in sharing your knowledge of C#, .NET, and AWS to foster a culture of continuous learning. Leadership and collaboration are at the heart of how you work. You are an exceptional communicator who can distill complex technical concepts for any audience, from fellow developers to non‑technical stakeholders. You bring a proactive, self‑motivated energy to the studio, coupled with a positive attitude that makes you a natural team player and mentor. Above all, you are fueled by an intense passion for making games and a commitment to delivering engineering solutions at the highest possible standard, ensuring that every system you build contributes to a seamless and entertaining final product.
