Transport Operations Supervisor Transport Operations Supervisor - Chepstow Salary: Competitive (circa £33,000) Location: Chepstow Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate operations at their Chepstow site. This role ensures the safe, efficient and compliant running of all transport activities, supporting both drivers and colleagues while maintaining high operational standards. Key Responsibilities * Oversee all day transport operations, ensuring efficient routing, on-time departures, accurate documentation, and effective allocation of vehicles and resources * Lead, support and guide the shift drivers and operational staff, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring smooth communication and handovers * Maintain full compliance with transport legislation, safety standards and vehicle maintenance requirements, promoting a strong safety culture * Respond quickly to operational issues such as delays or breakdowns, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and produce clear and accurate shift reports Skills & Experience * Previous experience in a transport / logistics environment (essential) * Experience in a supervisory or planning role (preferred) * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Strong understanding of Drivers’ Hours and transport legislation * Fleet operations experience * Good IT skills (transport systems experience beneficial) * Strong communication and decision-making skills * Proactive and solutions-focused * Calm under pressure * Strong ownership and accountability * Clear and professional communicator Benefits include Competitive salary, discretionary bonus, pension scheme, annual salary review, free eye test and glasses voucher, interest-free company loan, free on-site parking, referral bonus, lifestyle programme, flu jabs, life assurance, EV charging points, flexible career pathway and access to Supply Chain Academy education courses
