About the role


Our client, the UK\'s leading supplier of hot rolled coil, is looking for a PC&A Inspector to provide engineering support that keeps their Hot Rolled Products area running at optimum performance, acting as a first point of contact for the Hot Mill.



What you\'ll do



  • Diagnose faults on PLC programs and work on plant end devices

  • Work on instrumentation and control systems

  • Understand electrical control systems, DC & AC drives, and motors, diagnosing and rectifying faults quickly

  • Hold or work towards authorisation to issue electrical permits

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and statutory duties

  • Support the team and react promptly to engineering, quality, and safety issues

  • Contribute to plant performance improvements

  • Flex to cover overtime around breakdowns and planned maintenance



What you\'ll need



  • A completed apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent)

  • Good technical knowledge and fault-finding experience

  • Experience in a relevant role, with flexibility to develop further

  • Good understanding of electrical systems and perimetry

  • Experience on DC and AC control/drives packages
