Our client is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to take ownership of business development and account management across South West England and Wales. This is a field-based, external sales role focused on developing long-term, value-led relationships with customers operating in the construction and fenestration markets. The successful candidate will work closely with fabricators, contractors, installers, and related stakeholders to grow market share, enhance product penetration, and support customers in maximising their production capacity. You will be a confident, commercially astute sales professional who understands how to operate strategically within a defined territory while delivering consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strong relationships with existing customers across the region
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities aligned with growth objectives
  • Deliver a customer-centric approach to account management, adding value beyond price
  • Work collaboratively with internal Commercial and Trade Sales teams to ensure a joined-up sales strategy
  • Research and analyse regional market opportunities, competitors, and customer needs
  • Confidently deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and performance KPIs
  • Maintain accurate sales activity reporting and forecasting

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in an external sales or business development role
  • Strong knowledge of the construction market within South West England and Wales
  • Prior experience in the fenestration market is highly desirable
  • Existing network with fabricators, contractors, installers, or architects would be advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to position technical products effectively
  • Target-driven with a demonstrable track record of success
  • Highly articulate, numerate, and comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing a large geographical territory
