As a Business Development Advisor, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Reporting to the BDA Team Leader and Head of Marketing, you will work proactively to promote our clients' products and services, manage leads, and build strong relationships with potential clients. This role combines telemarketing, market research, and CRM management to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively contact prospects via calls and emails to introduce our clients' products and services.
- Build rapport and establish relationships to understand clients' needs and challenges.
- Conduct market research to identify new markets, industries, and clients aligned with our clients' offerings.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform business development strategies.
- Manage and process leads through the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Collaborate with the sales team to qualify new business opportunities and drive conversions.
- Work closely with the marketing team to nurture leads from email campaigns and align with marketing initiatives.
- Handle incoming enquiries from the website or 0800 number, ensuring professional and efficient follow-up.
- Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system to support targeted campaigns and year-on-year growth.
- Follow ISO9001 processes and contribute to team meetings to shape business growth strategies.
- Complete specific campaigns as directed by management and prioritise workload with guidance from the Team Leader.
- Undertake reasonable requests from senior management and attend necessary meetings.
- Previous experience in business development, telesales, or a similar role.
- GCSE Maths and English (minimum).
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Proven telephone skills with a track record of generating leads.
- Experience using CRM software to manage leads and track sales activities.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to personal transport.
- Competitive salary of £24,500 per annum with £6,000-£8,000 OTE commission.
