Pivotal is excited to expand our team and we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Associate Director Business Development or Director who shares our vision of providing clinical research excellence. - Support the design and implementation of the sales strategy plan.
- Perform market analysis to identify trends.
- Identify potential clients and define strategy to approach them (channel, responsible person, etc.).
- Maintain general knowledge of all Pivotal services, develop and lead sales presentation and marketing messages.
- Sourced and closed new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means (conference/trade shows planning and attendance, regional organisations, etc.).
- Leverage potential new business opportunities within existing clients.
- Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales plans for each target account.
- Support the coordination of the proposals’ team, develop and provide oversight on the development of RFIs, RFPs and bid defences.
- Review full RFP and Bid defence materials prior to CEO or SVP CD sign-off.
- Coordinate, manage and lead sales initiatives and activities including external parties to ensure alignment.
- Participate in monthly sales review meetings.
- Update CRM reporting tool (existing clients, bids and potential clients) and prepare monthly sales activity report including client-segmentation and assessment.
Requirements:
- 8 years of sales experience in CROs is a must.
- Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.
- Advanced analytics for assessing and interpreting pipeline management data and for reviewing budgets.
- Effective communication with colleagues, managers and clients.
- Digital process oriented and experience with CRMs is desirable.
- Language skills: English a must and other languages desirable.
