Team Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Quality Team, ensuring effective coordination of activities to meet site, company, and regulatory quality standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with both internal standards and external accreditations, including BRCGS, FSC, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
Quality Systems Management: Develop, manage, and continuously improve the quality management system, including procedures, documentation, and internal auditing processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations and technical departments to embed quality standards and clarify responsibilities across the business.
Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate and timely Quality and Environmental performance data to senior management to support informed decision-making.
Audit Programme: Lead the implementation and execution of the internal audit schedule, ensuring that all findings are addressed, resolved, and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Customer Complaints: Manage the investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Oversee the corrective and preventative action process, and publish root cause analysis by complaint type and business function. Work proactively to reduce levels of external non-conformances and customer-related quality issues.
Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in Quality and Environmental processes, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and performance enhancement.
Performance Communication: Facilitate regular team briefings and maintain up-to-date performance dashboards and reports for quality and environmental KPIs.
Requirements
- Quality Management Expertise: Significant experience in developing, managing, and auditing Quality Management Systems, with a strong understanding of standards such as BRCGS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and FSC.
- Auditing Qualifications: Certified Lead Auditor with practical experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Quality role, ideally within a print, packaging or food manufacturing environment.
- Sector Knowledge: Prior experience in the print or packaging industry is highly advantageous.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in line management or supervisory roles, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
