A growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the South West is seeking an IT Support Engineer / IT Field Engineer / MSP Engineer to support both remote IT support and on-site field engineering. This role combines service desk support, Microsoft 365 administration, and field engineer site visits for domestic and small business clients. It is ideal for an engineer currently working in an MSP who wants career progression, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to influence how IT services are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- IT support and service desk ticket resolution (remote support)
- Field Engineer site visits for installations, upgrades, and fault-finding
- Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD, Intune, users, licensing, security)
- MSP proactive support including patching, monitoring, and maintenance
- Install, configure, and support Ubiquiti UniFi networking equipment
- Windows and macOS support
- Networking support including routers, switches, and WiFi
- Work to Cyber Essentials Plus and IT security best practice
- Follow MSP processes, documentation, and service improvement tasks
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as an IT Support Engineer, Field Engineer, MSP Engineer, or Service Desk Engineer
- Ideally previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and SLAs
- Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows, macOS, and networking experience
- Ubiquiti UniFi installation and support experience
- Security-focused approach to IT support and field engineering
- Customer-facing experience (IT, retail, hospitality, or similar)
- Leadership experience or the ambition to progress into a senior or lead role
- Full UK driving licence (field-based role)
