Are you currently working within customs, freight forwarding, logistics or import/export and wondering what your next step could look like? We’re recruiting for a Sales Executive to join a growing customs and logistics business in Exeter. The role sits within the sales team, so you’ll be surrounded by people who can support your development in business development, sales process and pipeline activity. You do not need to be a fully experienced outbound sales person. Previous sales or account management experience would be helpful, but it is not the main priority. The business is looking for someone with customs or logistics knowledge, strong communication skills, commercial confidence and the right attitude.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building relationships with prospective customers
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Supporting outbound business development activity
- Following up with potential clients
- Attending meetings, events and trade shows
- Delivering presentations and product demonstrations
- Keeping CRM and pipeline information up to date
- Working with internal teams to support a positive customer experience
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience within customs, freight forwarding, logistics, transport or import/export
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence speaking with customers and businesses
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and CRM systems
- A proactive, organised and positive approach
Helpful, but not essential:
- Sales, telesales, account management or outbound calling experience
- Experience working towards targets or commercial objectives
- Additional language skills, particularly Polish or other European languages
