Our client is one of the UK’s fastest-growing home and lifestyle ecommerce retailers, operating at significant scale across digital, ecommerce and online retail. With a rapidly expanding product range spanning bedding, curtains, furnishings, rugs and furniture, the business continues to invest heavily in ecommerce performance, customer experience and onsite optimisation.

As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to hire a Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser to help drive onsite performance, category growth and merchandising strategy across their ecommerce platform.

The Opportunity
  • Take ownership of onsite merchandising strategy across a fast-growing ecommerce business
  • Play a key role in driving revenue, conversion rate and average order value through onsite optimisation

  • Lead the optimisation of onsite merchandising tools, search functionality, navigation and product discovery

  • Support the development of merchandising frameworks, personalisation strategies and recommendation engines

Responsibilities
  • Own onsite merchandising strategy across product categories to maximise revenue, conversion rate and AOV
  • Monitor category and product performance, identifying opportunities for growth and optimisation
  • Work closely with Buying and Merchandising teams to translate range plans and commercial priorities into onsite execution
  • Manage and optimise onsite merchandising tools including search, navigation, personalisation and recommendation platforms
  • Develop merchandising rules, testing frameworks and optimisation strategies to improve performance
  • Ensure category structures and customer journeys reflect customer behaviour and maximise conversion opportunities
  • Use performance data and customer insights to influence product placement, category strategy and range planning
  • Support onsite activations, campaigns and product launches across key trading periods
  • Collaborate with CRM, Paid Media and Organic teams to align product priorities with marketing activity
  • Produce regular reporting and insights around category performance, customer behaviour and ecommerce trading trends
Your Profile
  • Experience within Ecommerce Merchandising, Online Merchandising, Digital Merchandising or Ecommerce Trading roles
  • Strong understanding of onsite merchandising, product discovery and ecommerce customer journeys
  • Experience managing category performance, conversion rate optimisation and trading performance metrics
  • Hands‑on experience using merchandising tools such as Nosto, Klevu, Algolia, Bloomreach or similar platforms
  • Commercially minded with experience working towards revenue, AOV, conversion rate and margin objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data and customer insight into actionable recommendations
  • Experience working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Ecommerce and Marketing stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating within fast‑paced, high‑growth ecommerce or retail environments
  • Proactive, organised and highly detail‑oriented
  • Experience with Magento, Google Analytics and ecommerce merchandising technologies would be advantageous
