This role sits at the heart of the agency’s creative output. You’ll lead the development of standout PR-led campaigns, shape ideas from brief to execution, and act as a guardian of creative quality across client work, new business and internal initiatives. You’ll be a confident creative voice internally and externally, mentoring junior talent while building trusted client relationships.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Exceptional creative thinking with the ability to build campaigns tailored to brand briefs
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape and how ideas translate across different titles and platforms
  • Excellent deck design skills with strong attention to detail and visual storytelling
  • Confident presenter with experience pitching ideas and concepts to clients
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Proven production experience, including overseeing photo and video shoots
  • Strong copywriting skills across press, digital and social content
  • Confident client counsel and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid understanding of budgets and common PR campaign costs
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior members of a creative team

Key Responsibilities

  • Creativity
  • Distil client briefs into clear, inspiring internal creative briefs in collaboration with strategy teams
  • Organise and lead internal creative sessions, providing strong direction and refining ideas into viable concepts
  • Take forward ideas that are newsworthy, on-budget, feasible and aligned with the agency’s creative standards
  • Oversee reactive ideas from junior team members, adding value and ensuring brand consistency
  • Build strong knowledge of client objectives and behaviours to confidently approve reactive work
  • Stay immersed in media, culture and trends to inform press office and reactive conversations
  • Deck Design & Presentations
    • Translate ideas into beautifully designed presentations that reflect agency and client styles
    • Produce a range of documents, from creative pitches and campaign plans to evaluations and reports
    • Work closely with senior leadership to shape agency-wide creative initiatives and processes
    • Mentor and nurture junior creatives through regular reviews and check-ins
    • Take ownership of a defined stream of work or internal IP
  • Brief Interpretation
    • Break down complex new business briefs into clear creative opportunities
    • Partner with strategists to define strong creative platforms that work across the marketing mix
    • Lead the creative process alongside account leads, protecting creative integrity while delivering on client objectives
  • Pitch Development & Delivery
    • Design and write compelling new business pitch decks across all sections
    • Lead pitches as the creative voice, confidently presenting work and handling client questions
  • Production
    • Write clear photo and video briefs
    • Select photographers and film crews from a diverse, high-quality roster
    • Lead art direction, storyboarding and scripting
    • Act as the main point of contact on shoots, providing confident direction to clients and suppliers
    • Oversee editing, final delivery and client sign-off, taking accountability for output
  • Communication & Content
    • Maintain a broad and current understanding of media channels
    • Oversee influencer strategies and briefs, ensuring content meets creative and client objectives
    • Oversee content calendars and social storytelling
    • Write and approve high-quality copy including press releases, blogs and articles
    • Coach junior team members to raise the standard of their writing
  • Team & Account Management
    • Manage multiple client accounts concurrently
    • Lead large-scale campaigns from inception to delivery
    • Ensure teams are clear on responsibilities, motivated and supported
    • Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted creative advisor
    • Lead client meetings focused on creative output and campaign performance
  • Profile Building
    • Actively raise personal and agency profile through trade press, panels, podcasts and industry events
    • Regularly share work and insights on professional social platforms
  • Agency & Culture
    • Contribute to internal meetings by sharing recent work and successes
    • Support internal creative communications (e.g. newsletters, showcases)
    • Participate in cultural and industry events
    • Champion team morale and recognise junior talent
  • Long-Term Contribution
