Production Executive role at Pivotal London. This role focuses on production and inventory planning, procurement, supplier coordination, scheduling, and continuous improvement within the production supply chain.
THE ROLE
As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a vital role in production and inventory planning, and driving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for the seamless execution of the production supply chain. Your remit will span procurement, supplier coordination, scheduling, and inventory planning, as well as ideation and execution of strategic improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing procurement activities, liaising with co-packers and suppliers to ensure components and finished goods are delivered on time, in full, and to the required specifications.
- Owning production schedule management by proactively identifying risks, delays, or bottlenecks, and proposing practical solutions to keep timelines on track.
- Ensuring compliance by maintaining up-to-date product documentation, certifications, and supplier records in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with suppliers and co-packers to drive performance improvements through cost analysis, process optimisation, and efficiency gain, while supporting the growth and integration of new partnerships across the EU and USA.
- Owning supplier relationship management by monitoring KPIs (key performance indicators), and recommending optimisations for quality, cost, and service levels.
- Identifying and implementing new suppliers, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Operating within the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for production planning and stock control, tracking inventory levels, and collaborating with logistics to maintain availability and streamline distribution, executing activities (e.g., raising Purchase Orders and building Bills of Materials (BOMs) as applicable).
- Staying current on industry trends and innovations in production processes to contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with teams including NPD, Quality, and Commercial to ensure operational alignment from concept to launch and throughout the product lifecycle.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
- Track record of excellence in Production scheduling and management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems or Inventory Management Systems (IMS), particularly in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of food supplement or similar FMCG manufacturing processes, including production timelines, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across teams and external partners.
- Be comfortable with problem-solving in fast moving environments.
- Actively applies feedback to improve individual performance and contributes to embedding key learnings into team processes.
- Ability to organise and prioritise across multiple workstreams with competing deadlines. Confident multitasking and project coordination skills, with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
