Location: London – Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
Our client is a global leader within luxury travel and hospitality, operating a portfolio of premium brands and delivering highly personalised, high-value customer experiences across international markets.
Following significant investment in marketing, data and digital transformation, the business is continuing to build its analytics capability and is now looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst to help shape how Marketing, Sales and wider commercial teams use data to make better decisions.
This is not a role focused purely on producing dashboards and reports. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to interrogate data, identify opportunities and turn complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations that influence marketing investment, customer acquisition and business performance.
The Opportunity
- Become a key analytics partner to Marketing, Sales and wider commercial teams
- Work across a portfolio of premium, high-value B2C brands
- Analyse complex customer journeys where marketing activity ultimately converts through a consultative sales process
- Help answer commercially important questions around acquisition, marketing effectiveness, lead quality, conversion and customer behaviour
- Use SQL and advanced Excel to interrogate large datasets and uncover actionable insights
- Work with marketing and customer data across Google Ads, Meta, GA4, Microsoft Ads and other digital platforms
- Partner closely with Data Engineering and Data Science as the wider data capability continues to develop
- Join a fast-moving environment where you'll have genuine autonomy and visibility with senior stakeholders
- Remain highly hands‑on whilst developing your commercial and stakeholder management capabilities
- Opportunity to become a leading analytical voice within the team as the function grows
Responsibilities
- Analyse marketing, sales, customer and operational data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Write SQL queries to interrogate large datasets and answer complex commercial questions
- Analyse marketing effectiveness across digital channels, campaigns, audiences and customer segments
- Partner with Marketing teams to understand performance and identify opportunities to improve acquisition, conversion and ROI
- Analyse the customer journey from initial marketing interaction through lead generation, sales conversion and revenue
- Build and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar visualisation tools
- Develop analysis and presentations that translate complex datasets into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Work closely with Data Engineering to ensure data is structured effectively for reporting and analysis
- Support experimentation, forecasting and deeper analytical projects as the function develops
- Take ownership of analytical projects from the initial business question through to recommendation and implementation
- Proactively identify opportunities within the data rather than relying solely on stakeholder requests
Your Profile
- 4+ years' experience within Marketing Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Customer Analytics or a similar analytical role
- Strong hands-on SQL skills are essential , with experience independently writing queries and analysing large datasets within BigQuery, Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret large and complex datasets
- Experience working within a B2C environment , ideally analysing consumer marketing, acquisition, conversion and customer journey data
- Solid understanding of digital marketing platforms including GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads/Bing
- Experience analysing marketing performance and translating data into commercially actionable recommendations
- Strong dashboarding and data visualisation experience using Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar
- Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills, with experience communicating analysis to senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial mindset – you're interested in understanding why something is happening and what the business should do next, rather than simply reporting the numbers
- Confident communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences and influencing decision‑making
- This is a hands-on individual contributor role – you'll need to be comfortable personally interrogating data, writing SQL, working in Excel and building analysis rather than primarily managing analysts or delegating technical delivery
- Self-sufficient and comfortable operating without significant structure or hand‑hanging
- Experience within a fast-paced, high‑growth or scale‑up environment would be highly advantageous
- Python experience, particularly for analysis, modelling or automation, would be beneficial but isn't essential
