Fractional Head of Growth or Growth Lead MAT COVER | £70,000–£90,000 (Open to Freelance), 4 days in office. This is an interim role and we are looking for the candidate to start in May.
Our client is a high-growth, independent powerhouse that has tripled in size annually by dismantling the traditional "siloed" agency model. Founded by in-house practitioners who have scaled iconic D2C brands, they act as a deeply integrated growth function for startups and scale-ups, solving fundamental business problems from conversion rate diagnosis to international market launches.
The Opportunity
- Fractional Head of Growth: Move away from "account management" to act as a lead strategist for 4–5 exciting brands, identifying why businesses hit "glass ceilings".
- AI-Native Innovation: Join an agency at the forefront of the AI transition, implementing advanced tools across experimentation and creative processes to automate routine tasks.
- The "Anti-Agency" DNA: Work in an environment that specifically avoids "career agency" tropes, instead hiring in-house experts who speak the language of brand founders.
- Scientific Rigour: Drive growth through a highly structured, data-backed approach to experimentation, supported by an in-house studio producing up to 500 ads per week.
Responsibilities
- Holistic Diagnosis: Look beyond ad spend to solve growth hurdles across the entire business, including UX, app functionality, and customer feedback.
- Strategic Leadership: Define growth journeys and manage massive surges in national visibility, such as preparing brands for Dragon’s Den appearances.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with a dedicated execution layer of Growth Managers while accessing an in-house team of data engineers and creative strategists.
- High-Impact Execution: Lead high-level experimentation and launch brands into new global markets using a "trusted advisor" model.
Your Profile
- In-House Pedigree: You are a seasoned practitioner with a background in scaling D2C brands; you understand how to speak to founders and real-world business problems.
- Experience on META: Deep experience scaling paid social accounts profitably, from smaller budgets to significant spend. META is the path to growth for many of their brands.
- Channel Mix: Working experience in at least one other channel: paid search, CRO, affiliates, SEO.
- Strategic Generalist: You possess the ability to "zoom out" for long-term roadmapping and "zoom in" to diagnose technical conversion issues.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You thrive in a "player-coach" environment and are excited by the prospect of solving complex problems for multiple brands simultaneously.
- AI-Curious: You are ready to embrace an AI-native operational model to focus your expertise on high-level strategy and experimentation.
The Offer
- Work-Life Balance: A genuine "no-overtime" culture with core hours of 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM and a 2-week "work from anywhere" allowance.
- Generous Leave: 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, including a closed office between Christmas and New Year.
- Investment in You: A £1,500 tech budget, quarterly wellness allowance, and a dedicated annual company offsite in France.
- Social Culture: Monthly socials, regular team lunches, and vibrant summer and Christmas parties.
Please read this before applying: You must have in-house D2C experience within scale-ups and start-ups to be considered for this role. You MUST have experience on META. The team work best through in-person collaboration with one another and with their clients. 4 days a week onsite is non-negotiable. You must be able to start in May. You must have RTW in the UK.
