The Role:

As a Search Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end planning, delivery and optimisation of performance campaigns, combining advanced platform knowledge with strong client leadership and data-driven thinking. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will own your accounts, contribute to larger integrated programmes, collaborate closely with planning and activation teams, and help drive innovation across search and performance channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PPC strategy and activation across your client portfolio, ensuring campaigns deliver against performance targets
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trusted relationships
- Develop innovative, data-led campaign strategies that exceed client expectations
- Confidently present performance updates, insights and strategic recommendations in client meetings
- Collaborate with planning and activation teams to deliver integrated, cross-channel campaigns
- Plan, build and optimise campaigns in line with client briefs and forecasts
- Monitor accounts daily to ensure spend, pacing and delivery remain on track
- Review and quality-check reporting, coaching junior team members to extract actionable insights
- Advise on conversion tracking requirements and oversee pixel and tag implementation
- Identify opportunities to add incremental value through testing, betas and emerging platform features
- Stay up to date with industry trends, platform developments and best practices, sharing knowledge internally
- Contribute to agency-wide initiatives including training, thought leadership and new business pitches
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media owners and platform partners
Your Profile:
You are a confident performance specialist with strong PPC expertise and a passion for delivering smart, innovative work. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thrive in client-facing environments, and enjoy collaborating within high-performing teams.
Essential Experience:
- Previous client-facing experience within a media agency environment
- Strong experience managing and optimising PPC campaigns with demonstrable performance impact
- Hands-on expertise with Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
- Experience with SA360 preferred, including automated bidding strategies
- Solid understanding of measurement, analytics and attribution across Google Ads, GA and SA360
- Confident presenter able to communicate insights and recommendations clearly
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of accounts
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to support, coach and learn from others
- Passion for innovation, testing and delivering award-worthy performance work
