London – hybrid working (3 days a week in the office). A Comms Planning Account Director opportunity has arisen at one of the World’s most interesting, innovative independent media agencies. As an agency, they have won multiple awards and have an incredible reputation and culture in place. They are developing a best-in-class comms planning team, which offers a very exciting opportunity!
As Comms Planning Account Director, you will have the opportunity to lead the planning across a portfolio of high-profile clients, whilst acting as the day-to-day senior client lead. Working closely with Strategy, Activation, Data and Operations teams you will own the end-to-end planning process. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident in presenting media recommendations and planning decisions with a clear rationale and data.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the end-to-end comms planning process across key client accounts.
- Develop integrated, audience-led, media strategies across all channels and ensure consistently high-quality planning outputs.
- Work closely with Strategy and Data teams to develop effectiveness frameworks, measurement approaches and optimisation roadmaps.
- Present strategic recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Build trusted client relationships and act as a senior strategic partner.
- Lead strategic conversations and proactively challenge briefs where appropriate.
- Communicate campaign progress and planning updates clearly and effectively.
- Contribute to agency initiatives and support new business pitches.
- 4-6 years Comms Planning experience within an agency setting.
- Ideally, experience of working on an entertainment client / a client which has multiple launches a year. However, this is not a must-have.
- Up to date in terms of developments and trends in the industry and able to offer an opinion on emerging media opportunities and how they can benefit clients.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. A strong communicator who is a confident presenter and has strong storytelling skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability.
- Detail-oriented and organised.
- Curious, proactive and ambitious.
