Pivot Search is proud to partner with a dynamic and rapidly growing firm in their search for an M&A Tax Partner.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a highly autonomous role as the sole tax practitioner within the firm. The role encompasses providing expert tax advice on corporate finance transactions and due diligence assignments, including share sales, company acquisitions, and corporate reorganisations. Additionally, you will originate and deliver standalone tax advisory services to private equity investors, private individual investors, and shareholder/directors.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality tax advisory services, including:

  • Advising shareholders, investors, and employees on tax implications and the availability of tax reliefs.
  • Preparing clearance applications to HMRC.
  • Reviewing and providing insights on legal documents from a tax perspective.
  • Providing employment-related securities advice.
  • Offering guidance on EIS/SEIS/VCT status, advance assurance applications, and structuring to achieve reliefs.
  • Structuring employee share incentive schemes, including scheme selection, valuations, share scheme rules, and related documentation.
  • Delivering tailored advice on complex matters such as demergers, company share buybacks, group restructurings, asset or fund extractions, EBT advice, and share valuations.

Ideal Candidate:

We’re seeking a high-performing individual with a strong academic background and extensive experience in transactional tax. The ideal candidate will have developed their expertise within a major accountancy practice, corporate finance boutique, or investment bank.
