In our academies, we teach and support learners from Key Stages 1 – 5 who have been excluded from school or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to the lives of complex and challenging learners.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our Kirklees provision. Pivot Academy Kirklees provides education and therapeutic support for learners who have social & emotional mental health, sensory or executive function challenges who may be supported by an EHCP. We work with families to provide bespoke provision based on the individual needs of each learner, giving them opportunities to gain a variety of qualifications, following personalised pathways through to further education or employment.
What you will do:
- Work to support learners in a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
- Play a key part in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum, create inclusive and stimulating learning experiences, and work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, supportive and purposeful environment where all learners can thrive.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual needs, ensuring all learners are supported to reach their full potential.
- Build strong relationships with learners, families and colleagues.
We are looking for someone with experience teaching across age groups and differing needs, who has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and a commitment to inclusive education. You will be a confident communicator, able to manage behaviour positively, work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs.
