About this Role
- Job Holder accountable for:-
- Providing supervision ofpre-prepared tasks in classes where the normal teacher is absent
- Ensuring appropriate pupilbehaviour conducive to the completion of set tasks
- Ensuring a purposeful andconstructive working environment
- Dealing with immediateunforeseen problems or emergencies according to school policies and procedures
- Reporting back to the classteacher, subject leader or inclusion unit on issues arising from the lesson
- Supervision of pre-set workas responsible adult in sole-charge of a class or group of students agedbetween 11 and 16, in order that these students may continue with theirlearning
- Responding to questions fromstudents relating to process and procedure
- Collecting completed work andreturning it to the appropriate class teacher or subject leader
- Covering tutors and dealingwith the day to day administration tasks associated with that role
- Differentiating work set whennecessary to ensure work is accessible for all students in the group
