The Role
The people we support live in their own homes. Our staff support people in all aspects of their daily lives so that they can choose what they want to do, when they want to do it, and who they want to do it with. Many of our tenants have profound and multiple learning and physical disabilities; your role is to encourage them to be as independent as possible. In practice you will:
- Give regular, and sometimes intensive, day-to-day support. This includes helping them to get up in the morning and assisting with personal care tasks.
- Be flexible, as our tenants need support 24 hours a day and you may be required to work at various hours and on any day of the week.
