The Parish Council requires someone to clean our community building and sports changing village. Please email clerk@pitstone-pc.gov.uk to request the full details, schedule of duties and job specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fully clean all areas inside the pavilion, including the changing village, on scheduled days and times (predominantly a Monday morning for more than 4 hours per week, but may vary depending on events and other hires).
- Clean walkways, windows, shutters, touchpoints such as handrails around the outside of the pavilion.
- Litter pick the exterior of the pavilion including the pitches and car park.
- Monitor and refill dispensers (soap, toilet tissue, etc).
- Carry out periodic deep cleaning such as descaling shower heads.
- Dispose of all rubbish into the on-site wheelie bins.
- Notify the Facilities Manager of any issues or repair requirements identified.
Requirements
- Be a reasonably fit person; cleaning muddy changing rooms and corridors after football in winter can be hard work.
- Be able to adequately carry out the physical duties such as scrubbing, lifting, bending, and moving tables.
- Have no medical conditions that could pose a threat to safety while working alone on site.
- Have flexibility to work extra hours or days if required, as the demands vary with facility bookings.
- Be self-reliant, self-motivated, honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Have experience cleaning similar premises (rather than domestic homes) – desirable.
