Role & Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance issues ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the care home and the highest standards of presentation throughout.
  • Help create a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment where residents can feel truly at home.
  • Maintain beautifully presented outdoor spaces ensuring they remain safe, tidy and inviting for residents and guests to enjoy.
  • Carry out and accurately record all compliance checks, inspections and mandatory maintenance activities within required timescales.
  • Ensure all equipment, fixtures and facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard whilst proactively identifying and resolving any faults with minimal disruption.
  • Build positive relationships with external contractors to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while minimising any impact to the residents and the home.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in both reactive and preventative maintenance including basic electrical, joinery, painting and plumbing work.
  • Good I.T skills and confidence using digital systems to manage maintenance activities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a practical approach, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and visitors.
  • Adaptable, proactive and team-oriented with a professional, caring and resident-focused approach.
  • A commitment to maintaining the high-quality standards expected within a luxury care home ensuring every space is safe, inviting and thoughtfully maintained.
