As Head Housekeeper and reporting to the Home Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the resident experience whilst creating elegant and welcoming surroundings where residents feel comfortable and truly at home. Through your leadership every space will reflect the highest standards of hospitality, care and warmth. As part of the opening team, you will help set the tone, standards and culture of Pitfodels Wood from day one.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and develop the housekeeping team creating beautifully presented surroundings that blend warmth, comfort and elegance, ensuring residents expereince the very highest standards of hospitality delivered with compassion, dignity and respect
- Champion excellence in cleanliness, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and quality standards ensuring a safe and exceptional environment of our residents, families, visitors and colleagues
- Maintain accurate audits, schedules and records supporting compliance and the consistent delivery of outstanding housekeeping standards
- Oversee the housekeeping team’s rota, stock levels and budgets ensuring resources are managed effectively and aligned to the needs of the home
- Collaborate closely with the wider team, bringing fresh ideas and championing best practice to support the ongoing deliver of high-quality, person-centred resident experiences
- Support the growth and development of the team through training, coaching and mentorship, fostering a positive culture of learning, engagement and excellence
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who shares our values and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming and beautifully maintained environment for our residents, along with:
- Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper ideally from a healthcare setting or luxury environment
- Strong knowledge of COSHH, infection prevention and control, and health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail and high standards of presentation
- Supportive and inspiring leadership skills who can motivate, develop and empower a housekeeping team to deliver exceptional standards
- A commitment to maintaining the high-quality standards expected within a luxury care home ensuring every space is safe, inviting and thoughtfully maintained
- Proactive, self-motivated and compassionate approach with a genuine passion for enhancing residents’ comfort and well-being
