PitchBook's Sales Team drives growth through new enterprise client acquisition. Our Market Development Representatives are the first point of contact for most of our new business opportunities and begin the full-funnel sales cycle that culminates in contract execution facilitated by our Business Development Representatives. This is a highly visible team that makes a direct and significant impact on our business by working closely with clients to position our products and services in a way that helps them achieve their goals.
Market Development Representatives contribute to the delivery of overall sales goals by engaging warm leads through consistent outreach by way of phone, email, and LinkedIn to book product demos.
Primary Job Responsibilities- Achieve outlined goals and key performance indicators while upholding values and providing an excellent experience for prospective customers.
- Book qualified product demonstrations for our sales team.
- Connect with leads through written and verbal communication.
- Utilize tool stack as instructed to work through lead pipeline and maintain accurate records.
- Act as a consultant and take the time to understand your prospects' needs and business priorities to address appropriately.
- Conduct thorough discovery both pre-call and during call.
- Complete company and team assigned training.
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviours.
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior sales internship experience preferred but not necessary.
- Prior experience with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LeanData/BookIt preferred but not necessary.
- Demonstrate fearless curiosity and operate with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results.
- Maintain prioritisation and organisation based on team strategy and goals.
- Possess strong negotiation skills to effectively book inbound leads.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-starter with a competitive spirit but also team oriented.
- Interested in the capital markets.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
