The Account Manager manages PitchBook’s core customer relationships, building a sales strategy that leads to expansion, renewals, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
- Achieving sales and retention goals measured quarterly while providing excellent support to clients.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of PitchBook’s core clients via in-person meetings, phone, and/or email.
- Identifying growth opportunities to expand the existing user base within a portfolio of accounts.
- Developing and owning the long-term strategy; defining growth goals and execution plans.
- Conducting client demonstration sessions to highlight how the PitchBook platform addresses account needs.
- Collaborating with designated Customer Success Managers and Associates to strategize on account retention and growth opportunities.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through business reviews and continual product education.
- Managing your pipeline and overseeing the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Using Catalyst and Salesforce to manage client relationships effectively.
- Driving engagement with prospective clients through crafted sequences and marketing materials.
- Using Tableau for call logging, usage data monitoring, and task management.
- Reviewing client calls and providing product feedback using Gong.
- Prospecting new accounts creatively leveraging various channels.
- Participating in monthly global account manager meetings to share learnings and improve processes.
- Adhering to Salesforce best practices and understanding the importance of data hygiene.
- Supporting the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviours.
- Participating in various company initiatives and projects as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of sales or account management experience.
- Proven ability to close complex deals and oversee the end-to-end sales process.
- Prior experience with Catalyst, Salesforce, or similar CRM.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Exemplary presentation skills and comfort engaging diverse clients.
- Interest in the private equity and venture capital marketplace preferred.
- Organised with strong prioritisation skills.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented.
- Strong negotiation skills and resilience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship.

This role is expected to be in the office 5 days a week, in a standard office setting. Employees use PC and phone throughout the day, with limited corporate travel required.
