Our client is a global renewable energy investor and developer with a multi-billion-pound international project portfolio, playing a leading role in the energy transition. The UK business is focused on offshore wind and battery storage. As part of an ambitious UK and European growth plan, the VP Finance & Accounting is building a best-in-class finance team, and the Senior Tax Manager is a cornerstone hire — the day-to-day tax lead for the UK business, reporting to the VP Finance & Accounting with a functional line to Group Tax.

The role:

  • Provide transaction tax support across acquisitions, project finance, refinancings and group reorganisations, reviewing tax assumptions in financial models (corporation tax, capital allowances, interest deductibility, WHT, VAT, deferred tax)
  • Review SPAs, tax deeds, warranties, indemnities and facility agreements from a tax perspective
  • Own UK transfer pricing workstreams — Local File, benchmarking, intercompany pricing, thin cap analysis
  • Manage the UK corporation tax and VAT compliance cycle, including project finance and SPV structures
  • Prepare tax accounting support for statutory accounts and group reporting, and provide tax input into board and audit committee papers

You:

  • CTA, ADIT, ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with 5–7 years across UK corporation tax, international tax, transfer pricing or transaction tax
  • Big 4 / top-tier practice, law firm or in-house international tax background
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure or project finance is a plus, not a prerequisite
