We are working with a privately owned, acquisitive UK business operating in a specialist B2B services and manufacturing environment to recruit a Chief Financial Officer. This is a business with genuine momentum. Over the last 12 months it has completed multiple acquisitions, built a scalable platform, and is now entering the next phase of its growth journey.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to strengthen financial leadership, embed scalable processes and controls, and support continued growth — both organic and through acquisition.

The Opportunity

This is a hands‐on, senior finance leadership role with real influence. You will act as a commercial partner and co‐pilot to the CEO, helping to translate strategy into execution as the business scales.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Owning cashflow, liquidity and covenant management
  • Embedding strong processes, controls and financial discipline across a growing group
  • Supporting M&A activity, integration and future transaction readiness
  • Evolving financial and commercial models as complexity increases

The Profile

This role will suit a CFO (or senior FD stepping up) who:

  • Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with a strong technical foundation from the accountancy profession
  • Has operated in a scaling SME or investor‐backed environment
  • Is comfortable building structure where it doesn't yet fully exist
  • Enjoys working in fast‐paced, changing environments
  • Can bring numbers to life and make the complex simple for non‐finance stakeholders
  • Experience around acquisitions, integration, modelling and transaction cycles will be highly beneficial
