Our client is a fast-growing, acquisitive UK scale-up at a pivotal stage of its journey. The business is executing an ambitious buy-and-build and transformation strategy. This role sits at the centre of that agenda, working directly with the CEO and CFO to turn strategy into execution.
We are looking for a high-calibre Business Operations Analyst with a consulting background, who wants to move from advising on change to owning outcomes inside a fast-moving, acquisitive business.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership to support group strategy development and execution
- Analyse the current-state operating model across people, process, systems, and data
- Design and help implement a future-state target operating model to support scale and acquisition growth
- Translate strategy into practical, executable plans with clear ownership and milestones
- Assess business operations, processes, systems, and technology across the group to identify inefficiencies, cost reduction opportunities and performance improvement levers
- Support standardisation of policy, KPIs, management reporting and performance tracking
- Support the end-to-end M&A lifecycle including:
- Target screening and strategic fit analysis
- Operational due diligence and risk assessment
- Integration planning and execution
- Delivery of post-acquisition value creation plans
- Acting as a bridge between deal rationale and operational reality post-close
Ideally you will have 3–5 years’ experience in management consulting, strategy, operations or transformation within a Big 4 firm or reputable boutique consultancy. You will have demonstrable experience analysing business operations, processes, systems and data, and be comfortable implementing technology-enabled change, including system selection and implementation. Confident working with numbers, ambiguity, and imperfect data, you will be degree educated (business, finance, technology, economics or similar preferred).
