One of my favourite retail clients with multiple branches across the UK is on the hunt for an eCommerce Merchandiser to join their growing digital team. You’ll have worked within an eCommerce business and understand how “search and merch” works. Due to the location of the office, you’ll need to have your own transport.
With over 10,000 products listed on their Magento site, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all listings are optimised for accuracy, searchability and conversion and that there is consistency across all product descriptions.
Responsibilities in the role:- Keep product listings updated and accurate, ensuring that pricing, technical info and terms are easily searchable.
- Ensure that the customer experience across the site is first class.
- Configure search and merch settings to improve products being discovered and purchased using Fredhopper.
- Upload new products and manage categories and taxonomy.
- Previous experience in an eCommerce business with a large volume of products.
- Experience of working in a business that uses a PIM system (Akeneo is used here).
- Experience as a digital merchandiser/online trading assistant.
- An understanding of product taxonomy and how this affects customer experience.
- Able to write consistent product copy.
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
In return, you’ll see investment in your personal and professional development, free health cash plan, life assurance, company pension scheme, profit-related bonus and product and retail discounts.
