Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on and organised individual to join our team in a varied role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of practical outdoor work and customer-facing office duties.
Working alongside our team, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the stockyard while also supporting customers and handling general office enquiries.
Yard Duties
- Working alongside our team to support daily yard operations.
- Loading and unloading trucks on a daily basis.
- Selecting the correct stock using provided loading sheets and preparing materials for loading.
- Unloading containers of new stock.
- Barcoding and booking in new stock arrivals.
- Maintaining the stockyard, ensuring it remains tidy, organised and presentable.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions. PPE will be provided.
Office Duties
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately.
- Reviewing and responding to incoming sales emails.
- Welcoming customers visiting the site to view materials.
- Showing customers around the stockyard and assisting them with their material selections.
- Providing a friendly and helpful service to customers at all times.
Qualifications
- A full, valid driving licence is essential due to the location of the site.
- A forklift truck and/or crane licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A friendly, professional manner with good communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.
