Looking for a job in Redditch? We are seeking an outgoing and competitive MST (Mobile Service Technician) servicing on site hydraulic hoses repairs in our service centre and surrounding areas. We are looking for a self-motivated person who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person.

There will be an after hours call out roster which is on a 24 hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our close-knit hydraulic engineering team based in Redditch. As a Field Engineer you will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service in both trade and sales opportunities, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company’s reputation for future service.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring serviceable equipment is in the hands of the user fully operational
  • Carry out any customer visits to maintain and build relationships
  • Candidates will be expected to actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory
  • The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment
  • Good personal presentation and adherence to Pirtek policies and procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Good communication skills both orally and in writing
  • The ability to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to engineering personnel
Work Experience / Education:
  • Full UK Driving License
