We are hiring! Pirtek Inverness is under new management and we are seeking a number of outgoing and competitive MSSTs (Mobile Sales and Service Technicians) servicing on-site hydraulic hose repairs in the area.
We are looking for self-motivated people who can work well as part of a team. We would prefer experience in a mechanical plant or engineering background and will offer training for the right person. There will be an after-hours call-out roster on a 24-hour basis which you will be expected to undertake and includes weekends and bank holidays all year round. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.
The central role will be to provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to Pirtek customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hr on-call rota with other franchise technicians. Candidates will be expected to actively promote Pirtek products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory. The candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) including maintaining stock levels per franchise stock list.
- Perform routine maintenance checks in accordance with the MSSU defect checklist.
- Keep the MSSU clean and tidy inside and outside.
- Manage Pirtek supplied documentation within the MSSU including technical and procedural updates.
- Provide assistance to Centre staff within the franchise when requested.
- Attend Pirtek training courses as requested by management.
Qualifications / Experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- GCSE in English and Maths.
- Ideal: plant or motor trade background or experience with hydraulics.
- Work experience in a technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential.
