We seek an outgoing, competitive Mobile Hydraulic Field Service Technician at Pirtek Greenwich to service on-site hydraulic hose repairs. The role requires a self-motivated team player, preferably with a mechanical or engineering background; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional on-site hose replacement service to Pirtek customers.
  • Working a 24-hour on-call roster, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Actively promoting Pirtek products and services within the assigned territory.
  • Maintaining highest health and safety standards and using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Managing the Mobile Sales & Service Unit (MSSU): keeping adequate stock, performing routine maintenance checks, ensuring the unit is clean, and managing Pirtek documentation.
  • Assisting franchise centre staff and attending training courses as requested.

Additional skills and qualities:

  • Self-directed, can work unsupervised and meet time constraints.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical ability.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to present technical information to engineering personnel.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with customers and staff.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge; experience in hydraulics or the plant/motor trade is ideal.

Educational and Licensing Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to complete an online driving licence check.
  • Successful completion of the Pirtek Induction and Training programmes (based in Birmingham) and subsequent on-site assessments are required.
