Guest Service Assistant – Housekeeping (18hrs)

A choice hotel for short weekend and shopping breaks in Edinburgh, Piries is close to Edinburgh Airport and offers all the comforts of a pleasurable and cost-effective hotel. Wrapped up in a traditional Scottish atmosphere, the hotel offers 32 en-suite bedrooms and a fully licensed bar. All rooms offer modern facilities including en-suite bathrooms and free WiFi.
The hotel is well connected to the rest of the city with Haymarket Station just a two-minute walk away. Guests have easy access to Edinburgh Old Town, Princes Street shopping, Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish National Gallery.
Job Description
At Piries Hotel we are looking for exceptional people to provide outstanding service to our guests and who put our people at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to act as a Guest Service Assistant in the Housekeeping Department. As a Guest Service Assistant you will provide a friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests and ensure they have a great experience. You will be totally guest-focused, ensuring we are creating memorable stays for all our guests, and consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.You will be fully trained and welcomed to the hotel, and supported throughout your journey, with rewarding development on offer during your journey and training plan.

Role in our Family
As a Guest Service Assistant, key to your role:
To ensure all rooms are turned around in an efficient manner
All rooms must be cleaned, sanitised and prepared in accordance to our guidelines.
Support your line manager in ordering and maintaining linen stock.
To maintain the reception, food and beverage outlets, public areas, stores, back office and staff areas in a clean and tidy condition.
To clearly communicate with other departments to ensure minimal impact on guest service
Follows departmental policies and procedures
Follows all safety and sanitation policies
Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
Performs additional duties as needed
