Working within the small Moto team and reporting directly to the Key Account Manager, this role is responsible for the management and development of existing accounts in the South of England and Ireland (Northern and Southern). The role will also provide direct support at branch/regional level for our key Wholesale Partner and Retail Moto depots, together with identifying product enhancement opportunities, and where Pirelli has a low market penetration, either activating new accounts or utilising the existing ones.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To maintain and further develop the existing customer base
- Ensure achievement of both financial and unit sales targets
- To be proactive in seeking out new business opportunities, and be prepared to establish relations to develop new business
- Effective account management, ensuring relationships are maintained, targets are achieved and opportunities are maximised
- To share and promote the Pirelli and Metzeler brand across all customers, sharing knowledge, advice and technical information
- To represent Pirelli at both internal and external customer events
- Development of key Wholesale Partner retail sites and wholesale business
- Integration of Salesforce within daily activities – planning, visit reports, market intelligence, orders
- Ensure close relationship with the Pirelli credit department to support payments when required and resolving any credit related customer issues
Required Qualifications and Aptitudes
Education
- Degree level education (business related degree highly desirable)
Experience
- Experience in a customer facing field based sales role (essential)
- Knowledge and experience within the motorcycle industry (essential)
- Understanding and knowledge in sales and market analysis (essential)

- Able to demonstrate sound understanding of financial acumen (eg P&L, GM% etc).
- Able to demonstrate analytical skills (understanding and interpreting information)

Due to the area of responsibility, the ideal location for a candidate to be located would be South of Birmingham.
Salary for this role will be £45k - £49k, depending upon qualification, skills and experience.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. We have a Smart working policy (hybrid working; 3 days in the office and 2 days at home), although any new starters to the business will be required to be in the office on a full-time basis initially.
