Role Purpose
Cleaners are an essential part of our customer-facing Operations team. Usually working early mornings and weekends, they make sure our entire site is clean and welcoming for both staff and customers. They take care of everything from cleaning the studios and equipment to tidying up the kitchen, communal areas, toilets, and exteriors. Plus, they support our Studio Assistants and Studio Managers by reporting any issues they come across while on the job.
Role Responsibilities
This role is part-time, £14:80 per hour, covering 8 hours over a weekend with potential for ad-hoc hours during the week providing cover.
- Studios and Equipment
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including all music equipment and desks.
- Keep soundproofing materials, light boxes, and bass traps clean and dust free.
- Clean and sanitise microphones, headphones, and other shared equipment.
- Clean and organise cables, coiling them and returning to hooks.
- Dust and wipe CCTV cameras.
- Arrange all studio equipment as per the Visual Guidelines document or to your Studios Managers preference. (Room Reset Process)
- Store any excess equipment back in the spares cupboard properly after cleaning.
- Empty waste bins and replace liners.
- Vacuum and mop the floors.
- Make sure the air conditioning is turned off.
- Report any breakages, faulty equipment, or potential issues to the Studio Manager using your dedicated slack channel.
- Clean and sanitise worktops, sinks, and kitchen appliances (microwave, kettle, vending machine).
- Wash and dry any leftover cups and make sure they are stored properly.
- Sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
- Empty waste bins and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Replenish toilet rolls, hand towels, and soap.
- Empty waste bins and replace liners.
- Ensure a fresh and hygienic environment in all toilet facilities.
- Clean and reset any furniture or seating areas into designated spaces.
- Wipe, dust, and polish doors, frames, and glass.
- Empty waste bins and replace liners.
- Vacuum and mop the floors and mats.
- Ensure the entrance, signage, and walkway to the studio are always clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Empty smoking and waste bins.
- Clean windows and glass doors.
- Keep the car park and surrounding pavement free of litter.
- Efforts made to remove graffiti.
- Report any visible signs of damage to cleaning equipment, music equipment, facilities, or the building to the Studio Manager.
- Work with the Studio Manager to ensure the on-site stock of cleaning supplies is accurate and regularly replenished.
- Store cleaning supplies in an organised and accessible manner, keeping the cleaning cupboard safe and tidy.
- Follow cleaning equipment protocols.
- Identify any lost property and store it safely in the designated lost property area.
